With three other clubs, Chelmsford & DAC run two Summer trials. one in May and another in early to mid-August. These are Restricted Invitation trials meaning that the club can invite the members of up to ten other clubs. At one time, all our Summer trials were run under the banner of Essex Trials Group. However, since this group has never been successful and clubs were unwilling to run events under its banner, the group has effectively folded. Nevertheless, Chelmsford & DAC still run their Summer trials as Restricted Invitation events but invite clubs from a much wider area than just Essex.

There are several clubs in the Essex area that run events during the summer and all hold to the concept of the trials being fairly easy, ‘fun’ events. As a result, a series of Summer trials are run between May and August comprising between nine and twelve events. The clubs organising these trials include Chelmsford & DAC, Braintree & DMCC, Southend & DMCC and Dunmow & DMCC.

As the the dates for each summer series of trials is known, they will be posted on this site on the fixtures page for the information of anyone who may be interested in riding officiating or spectating.
